Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use NurseCircle. By using NurseCircle, you represent that you are legally able to enter into this agreement, the information you provide is accurate, you will keep your account information up to date, and you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

NurseCircle is a professional networking, educational, and community platform designed primarily for nurses and nursing professionals. The platform is intended to facilitate professional networking, peer discussions, educational resources, career development, wellness support, and community engagement.

NurseCircle is not intended to replace professional medical judgment, employer policies, supervision, or clinical decision-making.

Information shared on NurseCircle is for educational and informational purposes only. Content posted by users, moderators, or NurseCircle does not constitute medical advice, nursing advice, legal advice, employment advice, or clinical instruction.

Always follow your employer's policies, practice within your scope of practice, follow applicable laws and regulations, and use your professional clinical judgment.

Users agree to maintain a respectful and professional environment. You agree not to harass or intimidate others, post discriminatory content, bully or threaten users, share misinformation intentionally, impersonate another person, or create fake professional credentials.

Professional disagreements are welcome when expressed respectfully.

Protecting patient privacy is a core responsibility. You must never upload or share patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, facial photographs of patients, patient charts, medical records, room numbers combined with identifying information, or any information that could identify a patient.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring their content complies with privacy laws, workplace policies, and professional standards.

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting content, you grant NurseCircle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, reproduce, distribute, and use your content to operate and improve the Service.

Voice recordings remain your content. By uploading voice posts, you acknowledge that transcripts may be automatically generated, AI-generated summaries or tags may be created, and automatic transcription may contain errors. Users should review transcripts before publishing.

Educational resources are intended for general learning only. They should never replace clinical education, employer training, medical direction, policies and procedures, or continuing competency requirements.

NurseCircle includes "Cara," an AI-powered educational assistant. Cara provides general nursing education only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or guidance for any specific patient, and is not a substitute for your clinical judgment, current orders, or facility policy. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete — always verify important information against authoritative sources. Do not enter patient-identifying information. NurseCircle is not for emergencies; follow your facility's emergency procedures or contact emergency services.

NurseCircle may offer networking, mentorship, or preceptor-related features. NurseCircle does not guarantee mentor quality, verify all user credentials, guarantee employment, or guarantee clinical competency. Users remain responsible for evaluating any professional relationships formed through the platform.

Career information is provided for general guidance only. NurseCircle does not guarantee employment, interviews, salary outcomes, or job placement. Users should independently verify employment opportunities.

Users should encourage learning, support peers, share experiences respectfully, cite reliable information when possible, avoid spreading misinformation, and report unsafe content.

You may not post patient-identifying information, copyrighted material without permission, illegal content, fraudulent information, malware, spam, hate speech, threats, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, dangerous medical misinformation, or content encouraging unlawful activity.

NurseCircle may remove content that violates these Terms.

NurseCircle may remove content, restrict accounts, suspend users, or permanently ban accounts. Moderation decisions are made to protect the community and maintain a professional environment.

Some features may use artificial intelligence, including voice transcription, summaries, content organization, recommendations, and search. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. Users should independently verify important information.

NurseCircle, including its logo, branding, interface, design, and software, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users may not copy or redistribute platform materials without permission.

NurseCircle is currently free to use. If and when optional paid memberships (such as Plus or Professional) are offered, they will be sold as auto-renewing subscriptions billed through the platform where you purchase them — the Apple App Store, Google Play, or an approved web payment provider. Feature availability may vary by plan.

Auto-renewal and cancellation: subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods of the same length unless cancelled before the end of the current period (for App Store purchases, at least 24 hours before it ends). You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of the platform where you purchased; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Subscriptions must be managed — and can only be cancelled — through the platform where they were purchased.

Free trials and price changes: if a free trial is offered, its terms will be shown before you subscribe, and any unused trial portion may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where the platform's rules so provide. If the price of a subscription changes, you will be notified in accordance with the applicable platform's requirements and, where the platform requires it, asked to agree before the new price applies.

Refunds: payments are processed by the platform where you purchased, and refunds are governed by that platform's policies. NurseCircle cannot itself issue refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play; refund requests for those purchases go to Apple or Google.

Deleting your NurseCircle account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play — to stop billing, cancel in that platform's subscription settings. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use Restore Purchases in the app to re-link an active subscription to your account.

Your use of NurseCircle is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how information is collected, used, and protected.

You may delete your account at any time. NurseCircle reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the safety or integrity of the community.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NurseCircle and its owners, employees, affiliates, and partners are not liable for user-generated content, professional decisions made by users, employment outcomes, clinical outcomes, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, the updated effective date will be revised. Continued use of NurseCircle after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
